Create a Volunteer Role

Volunteer Roles can be created to allow parent's and adults volunteer to sign up to be Coach, Assitant Coach, Team Manager, or any role that you create.  Users can sign up to be a volunteer during the player registration process or at anytime.

Steps to Create a Volunteer Role

1. Go to Admin>>Volunteer Types
2. To Create a new Volunteer Type role your mouse next to the Module Title and choose Add Volunteer Type.  To edit an existing Volunteer Type just click on the pencil next to the Volunteer Type name
3. Enter a name for the Volunteer Type
4. Configure which questions you want to display or make required for all people signing up for this Volunteer Type
5. There are a number of "stock" questions that are available.  However, if you need to create a custom question, click on Add new/Edit Field to create a new question (this works just like on the Edit Programs module).
6. After you have configured the questions, click Update.
   **NOTE- You must associate the Volunteer Type with a Program for it to be available for registration.  You can do that on Admin>>Programs.**
