- Go to the top of the screen and choose the “Gallery” option under the “Module” pull down menu. Add a “Title” if you wish, and choose a “Pane” and location for your Gallery to appear in.
- Click Add.
- Hover over the arrow and choose the “Gallery Settings” option.
- Insert your Flickr, Picasa, or YouTube RSS URL in the “RSS URL” box section.
*Note: to see the necessary steps for finding your RSS URL on either Flickr, Picasa, or YouTube, please refer to the bottom of this screen.
- You also have the option to display your photos in the Gallery as a horizontal or vertical layout. *See image above.
*Note: Make sure to choose the layout under the correct option depending on whether you’re linking to Flickr, Picasa, or YouTube.
- Click Save Changes.
- Your Gallery is now ready!
*Note: If you ever make changes to these uploaded files on either Flickr, Picasa, or YouTube, the changes will reflect on your site, as well.
*Note: You’ll have to follow Flickr’s steps to setting up your own account and adding photos if you haven’t already done so.
- Once you have an account set up and photos added, you’ll have to create your own “Set” of photos on the Flickr website by clicking on “Organize and Create” at the top of the screen.
- Then click the “Sets” tab at the top of the screen.
- Next, click and drag your photos from your photo stream at the bottom of the page. Only include photos you wish to have appear in this particular Gallery.
- Once, you drag your photos, Flickr will prompt you on the left side of the page with the option to change the “Title” of your album from “New Set” to whatever you’d like. Now click Save.
- Next, you’ll need to navigate back to your Home Page on the Flickr website and click on the arrow to the right of the “You” tab at the top of the screen.
- Click on “Your Sets”. *See image above.
- Click on the set you’d like to use for this Gallery.
- Now click the “More” button on the right hand side of the page.
- Copy and paste the URL into your “RSS URL” box. Make sure to choose the Flickr option, with either a horizontal or vertical layout.
*Note: You’ll need to already have a Gmail account set up with an email address and password before using Picasa Web Albums.
- Go to http://picasaweb.google.com and type in your Gmail email address and password. Click Sign In.
- Once you’re signed in, click the “Upload” button at the top of the page.
*Notice the “Photos” tab added to your Gmail Account at the top.
- Next, add a “Title” for your album and set the “Visibility” to “Anyone with the link”. Press Continue.
- Next, click the “Choose photos to upload” button.
- Browse your computer for the photo you wish to upload, Select it, and click Open.
- To add more photos to the same Album/Gallery click the “Upload More” button at the bottom of the screen. Browse your computer for the photo you wish to upload, Select it, and click Open.
- Next, click on the My Photos tab, in order to navigate and view the newly created Album. Then click on the Album to open it.
- Once you open up the album you wish to link to, click on the “Link to this album” button on the right side of the screen.
- Copy the link in the “Paste link in email or IM” section.
- Paste the link into your RSS URL box under the BSB.Gallery Settings. Make sure to remove the “s” in “https://”. Also, make sure to choose the Picasa option, with either a horizontal or vertical layout.
*Note: You’ll have to set up your own YouTube account, upload or search existing videos, and add them to a Playlist before moving on to these next steps.
- Sign into your YouTube account and navigate to your “Channel”.
- Click on the “Videos and Playlists” tab. Make sure the “Playlist” check box is checked. Press “Save Changes”.
- Click the “Playlists” tab. Then click on the particular Playlist on the right side of the screen that you would like to use.
- After you choose which playlist, click on the “Edit My Playlist” Button.
- Next, click the “Share” button. Copy the URL link in the “Playlist URL” section.
- Paste the link into your RSS URL box under the BSB.Gallery Settings. Make sure to choose the YouTube option, with either a horizontal or vertical layout.
