Custom Questions Help

Custom questions are a way to add additional questions to the program that are not included in the standard setup.

To Add a Custom Question to a Program:

  1. Log in as Admin
  2. Click the pencil next to the desired Program
  3. Scroll down to the red "Add New/Edit Field" button
  4. Click on the "Add New/Edit Field" button - this will refresh the screen to allow you to select a custom question type.
  5. "Select the Field type you want to add:" - by choosing a field type from the drop down box. Options:
    1. Text box- this will create a plain field the customer can type into next to the question.
    2. Combo box - this will be a drop down box like the one you are using - that provides the customers with a list of questions
    3. List Box - This is not a commonly used field type and is not recommended for most users!
    4. Check boxes - this will create small boxes next to the answers for the question where the customer can put a check in as many boxes as they would like.
    5. Radio Buttons - this creates small circles next to the answer options where only one option can be selected - selecting another option deselects the one previously chosen.
    6. Waiver - this allows you to insert a waiver relating to photo releases, codes of conduct, etc.
    7. Once you choose a field the screen will refresh to display the Question field where you will type the title of the waiver.
    8. Under this field will be the check box option to display and/or require the question
    9. The next option that you need to select is which roles have access to question
      1. Admin Only - Only users with Admin access will be able to view this field.
      2. All Registered Users - Only users who have registered on the site will be able to see this field.
      3. Public - all users, even those who have not registered on the site, will be able to see this field.
  6. When creating more than one custom question you can rearrange the order of the questions by assigning a sort order number in the “Sort Order” box:
  7. Click Continue to save your Custom Question(s) and then click Update to Save all changes on the Edit Programs screen.
