The Merge Users feature allows you to combine multiple accounts (players, volunteers, orders, etc) into one master account. This can be an extremely helpful tool when trying to eliminate duplicate accounts on your site. Keep in mind, however, that merging an account CANNOT be undone.
***Be sure to take a look at the bottom of this page for help with handling Duplicate Players as a result of Merged Accounts!
Steps to Merge Users
- Go to Admin>>Content Management>>Merge Users
- Search Accounts by User First Name, User Last Name, Player First Name, Player Last Name, or E-mail. You can also leave this field blank, click search, and see all accounts on your site.

- Once you have found the duplicate account(s) you wish to merge, place a check mark next to the user. (If there are multiple duplicate accounts, just place a check mark next to all the accounts you wish to merge)

- Select the Master Account from the drop down list. This Account will become the “Master” account and will remain on your site. Once you have selected the Master Account, click on Merge Users.

The Master Account will now reflect all orders, players and volunteers from the merged accounts!
Handling Duplicate Players
Whenever you merge multiple Accounts that have Players with the same first and last name, you will then have multiple Players with the same name in your Master account. The best practice for resolving this is to Archive the player(s) with the oldest order history. This can all be handled on the My Account screen of the Master Account! Take a look at the example below where two accounts were created with the same player. In this scenario, the parent created a new account in consecutive seasons for her son. The admin then merged the two accounts, and archived the player with the "older" order history.
- Using Quick Search, go to the My Account screen of the Master Account.

- Click on the “Edit Player Info” button next to the Player with the "older" Order History (in this case it's the player registered for 2011, instead of 2012).

- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Archive
- That's it! All of the Order History will remain in the Account, even for the Archived Player!
