Text/HTML Module Online Help

This is the most commonly used module to create content for your website.  You can create text, format text, create links, and place images.

Steps to Create and Edit a Text/HTML Module:

  1. In the control panel at the top of the screen,  list of Module types for the tab. Select “Text/HTML”
  2. Next to the word “Pane:” select the appropriate pane of the webpage where you would like the module to appear (you will be able to edit this later). Remember the Left Pane is restricted.
  3. In "Title:" enter the module Title.
  4. In Visibility:  choose what users you would like to be able to see this module and its contents.
  5. Click “Add” at the top of the screen and to the right of the Dropdown menus.
***At this point the module is created. Below is how to edit a module. This is very important to keep your site up to date.***
  6. To add text, scroll over the pencil next to the module that you just added, and click “Edit.” You will now be able to put in all the text, pictures, link, etc. into the Module. It works much like Microsoft Word. When you are done, click “Update” and you can see your work.
  7. To edit the Module Settings (like title, who can see it, who can edit it, etc.), scroll over the pencil and click on “Module Settings.”
  8. To move the module to a different pane scroll over the pencil and choose which pane to move it to by clicking on “Move To_____.”
**You can always add and delete modules if you are having trouble with them, so there is no reason to be apprehensive about testing and trying out different things.**
**It is imperative that you do not hide the module title as you may lose the ability to edit the modules content in the future. If you would like no title to appear, simply leave the title blank.***

Steps to Add an Existing Module:

Adding an Existing Module allows you to reference the exact same module from a different page. The advantage to this is that if you update the content from that module in one place, every instance where that module exists will be udpated.

  1. In the control Panel, Click the radio button that says "Add Existing Module"
  2. After the screen refreshes, pick the Page where the Existing Module resides on
  3. Choose the Module
  4. Set Visibility and the Pane.
  5. Click Add
